Banja Luka Airport

Banja Luka is a town in the western part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, located on the Vrbas River. It is the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and most of the people consider it as one of the most beautiful cities. Thanks to its long history, Banja Luka has a rich and diverse cultural heritage. There are several museums in the city, including the Bosanska Krajina Museum. One of the most important cultural places in the city is the Banski dvor, which acts as a cultural center today. It was built between 1929 and 1932 as a residential area of Ban Vrbaska Banovina and for this purpose it was used until 1941. The Banja Luka Airport is located in Mahovljani, 23 km north of the city. Although it was built in 1985, passenger traffic was only opened in late 1997. By October 2018, a low-cost airline Ryanair establishes direct flights from Banja Luka to Stockholm, Brisel and Memingen twice a week.

If you come to Banja Luka with an airplane, we suggest you take the car at the airport so you can not miss anything that Banja Luka offers, and if you have enough time, take it outside the city bustle.
